Jonathon Carmichael - Founder & Executive Director
Fascinated since childhood by movie special effects, animatronics, and creature design, Jonathon earned degrees in Special Effects and Industrial Design Technology.
After graduating, Jonathon worked in Los Angeles as a key grip, gaining hands-on film production experience. He then transitioned into studio management, serving as Studio Manager at Air Hollywood, General Manager at Quixote Studios, and Sales Manager at Manhattan Beach Studios. These positions honed his operational and strategic expertise within the entertainment industry.
Now back in his hometown of Akron, Ohio, Jonathon leverages his diverse background and personal dedication as a lifelong collector of physical media and artwork. His unique blend of creative understanding and executive acumen makes him an ideal leader to champion the mission of Legacy Media Preservation.

Erika Fritz - President
As co-founder of Killer Video Museum in her hometown of Akron, Ohio, Erika has transformed a love of vintage media into a thriving cultural hub celebrating fringe media and underground film culture.
She plays a vital role in shaping the strategic vision of Legacy Media Preservation, ensuring that underrepresented voices and obsolete formats are protected and made accessible for generations to come.
In addition to her museum work, Erika (M.A., M.Ed.) has collaborated on educational projects that promote media literacy and access. Her leadership helps guide Legacy’s mission to protect and share marginalized media histories with integrity, creativity, and a focus on community-centered initiatives.

Robbie McCluskey
Robbie McCluskey is the Director of Video Store & Volunteers at Los Angeles’ acclaimed nonprofit film organization, Vidiots.
Having worked behind the counter since 2013 and helped steward the store’s triumphant revival at the Eagle Theatre, McCluskey manages a lending collection of over 50,000 titles across VHS, DVD, and Blu-ray.
He brings frontline brick-and-mortar rental operations, volunteer leadership, and modern community-building expertise to Killer Video’s board of directors.

Aubrey Leigh - Resident MC
Lights, camera, horror! With a lifelong affinity for physical media and the macabre, Aubrey lives for the magic of the tactile experience.
Her theater background and desire to learn what brings out the best in people lends a passionate, engaging presence to her hosting and interviewing style.
Aubrey is thrilled to bring her unique blend of performance, curation, and deep-seated appreciation of the genre to the Killer Video community.

Nick Ozmun
Nick Ozmun is an Akron-born, lifelong lover of all things horror, especially film. Well-known for his passion for slashers, on any given Friday the 13th that graces the calendar, you’ll find Nick throwing a thoughtful, detailed, and killer party for all of his friends to gather together and celebrate everyone’s favorite mama’s boy, Jason Voorhees.
Nick also has a background as a former radio personality for Rubber City Radio Group and spends his free time hosting/emceeing for Killer Video’s monthly horror an retro trivias at the Hoppin’ Frog Brewery.

Alina O'Connell
Alina grew up in the greater Columbus area and moved to Akron after graduating from Ohio State University (B.S). She quickly fell in love with the city and has proudly devoted her time and energy to volunteering with many local organizations over the years as well as currently sitting on the boards of three nonprofits.
Throughout her life, she often felt that she had no one with which to share her love of horror movies and all things spooky. After the pandemic, she created Akron Horror Hounds, a social club which aims to bring together anyone who loves to watch scary movies. She’s seen the club flourish into a congregation of local like-minded fans who get together a few times each month.

Shawn Coss is a renowned dark artist, illustrator, and the founder/owner of the apparel brand Any Means Necessary. Widely recognized for his viral mental health illustration series and his longtime animation work on Cyanide & Happiness, the Northeast Ohio creator brings extensive experience in independent brand building, visual storytelling, and cult art culture to Killer Video’s advisory board.

Chris Garofalo
Chris Garofalo is a Philadelphia-based illustrator, printmaker, and founder of Quiltface Studios. Renowned for his limited-edition screenprinted alternative movie posters and packaging design, the Poster Posse veteran brings his expertise in cult cinema aesthetics and hands-on print craft to Killer Video’s mission of physical media preservation.

Ryan + Chloe Graveface
Ryan Graveface is a curator, musician, archivist, and founder of Graveface Records, the Graveface Museum, and boutique genre label Terror Vision. A dedicated champion of fringe pop culture and tactile formats, he brings deep expertise in boutique physical media distribution, oddities curation, and independent archiving to Killer Video’s advisory board.

Cory Holliday
Cory Holliday is a Canton, Ohio-based illustrator, designer, and creator of the cult pop-culture brand Vile Consumption. Known for his vibrant, tongue-in-cheek mashups of vintage horror, retro comics, and genre nostalgia, Holliday brings his illustrative expertise and lifelong passion for video store culture to Killer Video’s advisory board.

Robert Kurtzman + Marcy King
Robert Kurtzman is an Ohio-born director, screenwriter, and special makeup effects icon. A co-founder of the award-winning K.N.B. EFX Group, Kurtzman conceived the original story for From Dusk Till Dawn, directed cult favorites like Wishmaster, and contributed practical effects to classics including Scream and Army of Darkness.

Nick Prueher
Nick Prueher is a comedy writer, researcher (Late Show with David Letterman, The Colbert Report), and co-creator of the touring Found Footage Festival and VCR Party Live! A pioneer of VHS tape archaeology with over 30 years spent unearthing forgotten magnetic media ephemera, Prueher brings deep expertise in obsolete video formats and counterculture archiving to Killer Video’s advisory board.

Felissa Rose
Felissa Rose is an iconic horror actress and producer best known for her legendary breakout role as Angela Baker in the 1983 cult classic Sleepaway Camp. With over 40 years of experience spanning more than a hundred films in front of and behind the camera, Rose brings a rich genre legacy, producer’s insight, and an enduring connection to the 1980s VHS boom to Killer Video’s advisory board.

Ben Scrivens is the founder and president of Fright-Rags, the industry-leading lifestyle brand for officially licensed horror apparel and retro collectibles. Since launching the company in 2003, Scrivens has played a vital role in celebrating genre cinema and vintage VHS-era art. He brings over two decades of creative brand leadership, collector insight, and passion for tactile movie culture to Killer Video’s advisory board.

Tiffany Shepis is a veteran genre actress, producer, and indie horror icon with over 100 film credits to her name. Cynthia Weintraub
Cynthia Weintraub is a veteran actress and longtime college professor. Best known to cult cinema audiences under the name Cindy Weintraub for her starring roles in 1980s horror touchstones Humanoids from the Deep and The Prowler, she pairs first-hand experience from the golden age of regional and indie genre filmmaking with a deep academic background in higher education to support Killer Video’s preservation and educational initiatives.
